Message: Multichannel Slide / HTML (non-editable)

If you enter a slide in the Activator™ and see a red banner with the words "Multichannel Slide / HTML (non-editable)"  there are a few things you can check in order to troubleshoot the problem before contacting the Activator™  support team.

1: Check if the content was created in the Activator.

Usually, this banner will appear if the content was not created using the Activator™ platform. As it is not using our framework, the Activator will be unable to edit the contents, but you can still view it.

You can for the most part check this by going to the "Activator" section (or similar, depending on PromoMats environment) on the document in PromoMats.

2: Check if you are linking to the correct Design System.

Sometimes Design systems have very similar names and it is easy to select the wrong one. Do an extra check to make sure that the slides are connected to the right one.

3: Check if there is content in the Design System distribution package.

If you access the Design System in PromoMats and the preview looks like the screenshot bellow:

As an example for the case above, the distribution package only contained a single PNG file:

The solution here was to locate the last good version, either from PromoMats or a locally stored distribution package and create a new version in PromoMats:
